Dun Dun Duuunnnnnnnn . . . THE BACKYARD!

We have finally ventured to our last big project - The Backyard! We had slowly been taking the wood off of the spa in the backyard and today we decided to start removing everything! With the help of some of our AWESOME neighbors (Brant & Joel) we were able to remove the wood around the spa, the spa, tear down some of the old wood fence and begin cutting back the ivy!!! Brant helped John cut the spa in half so they could lift it out of the yard and Joel let us use his dumping trailer to load everything in! So here are a few pics from today and there will be lots more to come as we continue working on this!

Baby Shower for "The Peanuts" & Molly's 6 Months!

Well, John's sister is due with twins around mid October, so we traveled up north last weekend to have a shower for her! It was a great visit and we had so much fun helping prepare for these two new ones. We put together the cribs and dresser on Saturday night with our brother-in-law-so glad we got to be a part of the preparation :)
Also, on the day of the shower Molly turned 6 months! We can't believe how fast time is going. We are enjoying her so much and this last month has really brought fun new things. She has learned to sit up on her own, she's eating real food and she's learned the art of making "raz" noises with her mouth. We are definitely beginning to see her personality and it is so fun to watch her learn! Here are some pics from the shower, Molly's 6 month picture and other random Molly pics!

4th Anniversary in Newport Beach

We celebrated our 4th anniversary last weekend by going to Newport Beach for the weekend! It was also the first time we left Molly over night. We had a wonderful time and Molly did great! Here are a few pictures from our trip :)

We stopped on the way to Newport in Huntington Beach and had lunch at Duke's. That margarita was Katie's first real drink since Molly - yikes!

Family Visits!

We had some of John's family visit from the East coast and Northern CA. a few weeks ago. John's mom, cousin and her son came for the weekend and we took a trip to the beach. It was great to see the kids play together! Then John's brother and his two kids came on Sunday to hang out! It was great to have family together!
