Johnny, Katie, Molly and Reese!: November 2010

We traveled to AZ to see Katie's family this year for Thanksgiving! It was so nice to get to see everyone - it's been too long :) It was a great weekend of fun, food and Christmassy stuff of course. We helped Papa and Yaya decorate their house for Christmas and Molly thought that the lights were so WONDERFUL! Here are some pictures of our fun - we hope you enjoy!

This is Molly in a Christmas tree photo spot on Saturday night. Kim & Larry (my parents neighbors), had their house ready for Christmas Saturday! They do it BIG! They have Santa and picture spots every Saturday night so people can come by and get a free picture with Santa! The fun thing for us it that "Santa" is my dad :)!!!

We've finally got it together and updated this blog with the fun things we've been able to do through October! It's been a rough couple of months over here due to Katie being sick from the pregnancy. After being to the doctor and getting some medicine to help, she started feeling better about 2 weeks ago-thank goodness! Although Katie hasn't been feeling well we still tried to do some fun things for fall.

Towards the end of September we took Molly to a real farm so she could see all the fun animals. Katie's mom has a friend from church that works and lives on a farm in Moorpark, so we headed out there to check it out. Molly LOVED it! She has no fear of any animal. She fed goats, went in the chicken coup and picked eggs, pet the horses, checked out all the dogs etc.

Then, Katie's dad and Terri came out for a visit for the weekend and we all went to the pumpkin patch! It was great to see Molly experience all the fun there and wonderful to watch Papa and YaYa enjoy seeing her (they hadn't seen her since July!)

After that we went on a mini-vacation with Katie's mom to Ventura Beach. We had decided to do this trip a little bit after Darryl passed away. We all thought it would be nice to get away from the norm and relax. It was a nice time and Johnny was able to work still and come stay at night at the hotel. This was actually a turning point for Katie in her sickness too!!!

Lastly, was Halloween! Katie has a mom's Bible study that meets on Thursdays, so they had a Halloween party and got all the kids dressed up! Good thing they did because on Halloween, Molly was sick from teething and didn't even make it into her costume :( We have a front yard party every year on Halloween and visit with our neighbors. This year was great! We met some new neighbors, ate dinner together, took all the kids around trick or treating (Molly made it to a few houses but that was it) and finished with smores over the firepit!

All in all it has been a busy month with lots of good memories! We look forward to the things to come. Hope you enjoy the fun pictures!
