First stop was Ocean Beach. We sat on the beach and watched the surf contest that was going on. It was a perfect day for beaching!
Then we walked down the main street to Hodad's - an O.B. hot spot- we had some of the best onion rings EVER!! (Hodad's was also featured on "Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives")
After Ocean Beach we headed over to the Hyatt in downtown San Diego. This is ONE of the views from our room! It had three huge windows that gave beautiful views of the bay!

For dinner that night we walked to the famous "Gaslamp Quarter" and had dinner at the Hard Rock!

Sunday, we walked around the port area to get a closer view of all the Navy ships that were there.
This is a HUGE statue that is right on the bay. Katie thought is was so cute so . . .
We had to give it a try ourselves :)

On our way home, we stopped at Carlsbad for some more relaxing at the beach and then made the trip home. It was an awesome anniversary trip . . . yay for 3 years!
