This past month has been quite eventful with Molly turning 3 and maturing right before our eyes to Reesy getting her new glasses! Reese’s right eye was pulling inward, so we took her to the eye doctor. She has a few different eye issues (normal to downs children) – both eyes pull inward, but she favors using her left eye, so the right eye was losing sight already. For that we had to start patching her good eye, so she would use the weaker one and strengthen it. After only a few days of patching we noticed a difference, so hopefully it continues to work. Then she was examined further and she is VERY farsighted (she see’s well far away not up close), so she needed glasses! They make those for babies was my first thought – yes, they do! So ridiculously cute! When we got the glasses and the lady put them on her, the lady said her eyes got real big and she smiled while looking at her, probably because Reese could actually see the lady’s face. I turned her around to look at her and she just starred at me and touched my face – so precious (the eye doctor had said that she probably touched our faces a lot because she couldn’t see us well, but now she can!) She’s doing well with them and Molly is such a great help to her. Here are some priceless pictures.
